Shannon's Story
From a young age, Shannon has been captivated by all things beautiful and unique. Her eye for aesthetics revealed itself early, manifesting in the constant rearrangement of her bedroom furniture in pursuit of a fresh and inspiring atmosphere.
A pivotal moment came in high school when her mother opened a boutique just a few towns over. Immersed in its one-of-a-kind pieces and creative energy, Shannon’s love for fashion ignited. She went on to study Clothing and Fashion Merchandising, including a formative season at the Paris American Academy, where she earned college credit while exploring couture houses, attending design seminars, and experiencing the Pret à Porter runway firsthand.
With a degree in Fashion and a minor in Marketing, Shannon set her sights on New York City. But life, in its beautiful unpredictability, took her instead to the shores of Hawaii. There, she managed a retail shop by day and designed costumes for a local playhouse by night. Following 9/11, she returned to the mainland and continued her career in visual merchandising with leadership roles at Nordstrom and Belk, along with consulting stints in the furniture industry.
Her creative spirit eventually led her to Lavender Boutique, an upscale retail space she managed for five fulfilling years. Then came a new season in Texas: marriage, family, and the time and space to rediscover her purpose. With her husband’s encouragement, she rekindled her passion for consulting and design. Together, they have built and designed eight homes over the past two decades, each reflecting Shannon’s thoughtful eye and enduring love for curating beautiful spaces.
That same intentionality now extends beyond interiors. Shannon has recently expanded her practice to include bespoke floral arrangements, an offering that beautifully complements her interiors work. From lush centerpieces to thoughtful bouquet design, her florals are curated with the same care, style, and storytelling that define her interiors.
